Ransome & Marles Bearing Company Limited was founded during World War I to manufacture ball and roller bearings used in aircraft and other engines. Prior to the war, most bearings were imported, mainly from Germany. Currently, the company is part of NSK UK Limited. However, the former Ransome & Marles plant, located at Northern Road, Newark NG24 2JF, Nottinghamshire, UK, continues to operate.
