“Vazovski Mashinostroitelni Zavodi” town of Sopot was inaugurated by the Bulgarian Tsar Boris III in 1936.
“VMZ” EAD is the biggest state enterprise from the military and industrial complex in Bulgaria with more than 80 years of history and is leader in the production of various caliber ammunitions, and in addition is the only manufacturer in the world producing some of them. Company turnover for the last two years is over 500 million euro, while profit before taxes – 180 million euro.
Thanks to the intellectual potential of its engineering staff and high qualification of its executive personnel, high technologies have been implemented in the production, item performance characteristics are improved, and while part of the items are accepted into service in the Bulgarian army others are in the process of being accepted into service.
