Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. traces its history back to 1907, during a period of rapid modernization in Japan. That year, "Hatsudoki Seizo Co., Ltd." was established as a joint venture between industry and academia, aiming to produce Japan’s first internal combustion engine. In 1931, the company launched its first three-wheeled vehicle equipped with a 500cc engine.
Since then, Daihatsu has remained committed to creating compact cars cherished around the world, focusing its business on the development and manufacture of small and mini vehicles. Today, Daihatsu is part of the Toyota Group and continues to develop fuel-efficient, affordable, eco-friendly, and high-value vehicles, guided by its three core pillars: Domestic, Overseas, and Consigned Production/OEM.
