IHC

The International Harvester Company (IHC, IH, or simply International) was a legendary American manufacturer that played a key role in the development of agricultural and construction machinery, as well as automobiles, commercial trucks, household equipment, and lawn and garden products. Founded in 1902 through the merger of McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and Deering Harvester Company, along with three smaller firms—Milwaukee, Plano, and Warder, Bushnell & Glessner (makers of the Champion brand)—International quickly became a symbol of quality and innovation.

International produced equipment under the McCormick, Deering, McCormick-Deering, and International brands. The company gained fame for its Farmall and Cub Cadet tractors, as well as the iconic Scout and Travelall vehicles. In the 1980s, all divisions except for the truck business were sold off, and the company was renamed Navistar International (NYSE: NAV), continuing its tradition of quality and reliability in the commercial vehicle segment.
