BRISTOL

Bristol Cars was a British manufacturer of hand-built luxury vehicles, headquartered in Bristol, England. The company originated from the car division of the Bristol Aeroplane Company following the Second World War and later became independent as Bristol Cars Limited. Bristol was always a niche, low-volume manufacturer: the last official production figures, published in 1982, showed that only 104 cars were produced that year. The company also maintained a single showroom, located on the corner of Kensington High Street and Holland Road in London.

In March 2011, manufacturing was suspended and administrators were appointed, resulting in 22 redundancies at the Filton factory in Bristol. In April 2011, a new company was formed by the administrators to sell Bristol’s assets to Kamkorp. However, in February 2020, the company was ultimately liquidated to pay off creditors.
