Acura is a premium automaker known for its high levels of luxury, advanced technology, and impressive performance. The brand’s history is relatively brief: in 1986, Honda launched Acura in the U.S. as a separate luxury division. The first models—the Legend sedan and the sporty Integra—quickly gained popularity thanks to their upscale image, Honda’s renowned reliability, and low ownership costs. In 1991, Acura introduced its iconic all-aluminum NSX sports car, which offered exotic car performance at a more accessible price.

Throughout the 1990s, Acura expanded its lineup, though not all models were equally successful, and the switch from familiar names like Legend and Integra to alphanumeric designations was met with mixed reactions. In the mid-1990s, Acura entered the luxury SUV market with the SLX, but its quality did not meet customer expectations. Entering the new millennium, Acura completely revamped its range, introducing the family-friendly MDX crossover with third-row seating, the RSX sports coupe, and the entry-level TSX sedan. The redesigned TL became especially popular, as did the flagship RL sedan.

Today, Acura continues to refine its niche, offering vehicles that combine quality, cutting-edge technology, performance, and great value.
