The American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA) is a non-profit organization uniting American manufacturers of anti-friction bearings, spherical plain bearings, and their major components. ABMA’s main objectives are to develop national and international standards for bearing products and maintain industry statistics. Serving as the collective voice of the American bearing industry, ABMA influences government policies and international trade. Member companies of ABMA produce 85 percent of all bearings manufactured in the United States.

Membership is open to companies with a substantial part of their business involved in manufacturing anti-friction bearings, spherical plain bearings, or their major components in the United States. Two major meetings are held each year: an Annual Conference in partnership with the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) and a Fall Meeting for ABMA members. ABMA organizes industry events, develops standards, provides information to its members, promotes educational initiatives, and manages the industry’s website.
