LEE NORSE

Lee-Norse Company was an American manufacturer of mining equipment, best known for its continuous miners, roof bolters, and track-type personnel carriers. The company operated as a division of Ingersoll-Rand.

Lee-Norse maintained multiple facilities, with headquarters in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, and additional plants in Beckley, West Virginia, Taylorville, Illinois, and Wise, Virginia. The Wise plant, opened in 1976, focused on the production of personnel carriers and spare parts distribution.
